This privately operated reference site is not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that holds the record directly.

Find the Right Broward Office

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is the countywide starting point for jail custody, booking records, and photographs created at Central Intake. Headquarters is at 2601 West Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. The main number is 954-831-8900, and the non-emergency police line is 954-764-4357.

The BSO records portal carries the current request procedure and backlog notice. For detention questions, call 954-831-5900 during the listed administrative hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Main Jail/Central Intake is at 555 SE First Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. BSO also operates Conte, North Broward, and Paul Rein in Pompano Beach. The former Stockade should not be treated as a current facility.

Choose the source by the record or custody stage:

  • For a Broward booking photograph, current custody entry, recent booking, or BSO records request, use the countywide paths on the home page.
  • For a selective wanted bulletin or the safe process for checking a possible warrant, use Wanted Fugitives.
  • For an incident or arrest report created by Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, or Hollywood police, contact that city’s records unit rather than BSO.
  • For filed charges, hearings, or a final disposition, contact the Broward Clerk at Central Courthouse, 201 SE Sixth Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301, or call 954-831-6565.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Florida Department of Corrections offender search. It does not cover ordinary recent Broward jail bookings.
  • For a person in federal Bureau of Prisons custody, use the official BOP locator.
  • For immigration detention, use the official ICE detainee locator and follow its identity-field requirements.

An arrest or booking entry records an accusation, not guilt. Charges may change or be dismissed, so the court disposition should be checked before drawing a conclusion.
